As part of the “Timișoara City Celebration 2026” program, JAZZx presents two special events from the “Strada Fără Nume” project, dedicated to the convergence of music, urban poetry, improvisation, and dialogue with the audience.
The first event brings together Psihotrop and Chimie on Saturday, August 1, at 10:00 a.m. Psihotrop is known for the way he connects hip-hop with literature and education, as well as for the “Mihai predă” project, in which he transformed the works studied for the high school graduation exam into rap songs. Chimie is one of the iconic figures of Romanian rap, appreciated for his introspective, complex writing and for his contribution to the underground scene.
On Sunday, August 2, at 10:00 a.m., Psihotrop returns to the stage alongside Bonel, a multiple national champion in MC Battle and freestyle, lyricist, and sound engineer. The event offers a space where improvisation, storytelling, and social commentary transform rap into a tool for reflection and dialogue.
The program is organized by Future Standard, a creative and production organization founded in 2017 by Norbert Tako, the producer of JAZZx. Future Standard develops projects at the intersection of culture, technology, innovation, and social impact. The organization’s most important project is JAZZx, Timișoara’s leading international jazz festival and one of Romania’s most significant events of its kind.
Between July 31 and August 3, 2026, Timișoara City Celebration transforms the city into a grand celebration of community, culture, and urban experiences. The theme of this year’s event is “Diversity,” and its central message— “One city. A thousand ways to experience it. Diversity.”—invites the public to discover Timișoara through different perspectives, communities, and experiences. Admission to the events on the program is free.
